Onyx is two and a half and living with FoxP1 Syndrome, an extremely rare genetic disorder with only about two hundred known cases worldwide. His first day of life included three frightening episodes where he stopped breathing, and his first year brought a growing list of medical questions without clear answers. By his first birthday, the diagnosis finally came, and his family suddenly found themselves navigating eight to ten therapy and specialist appointments every week, all while running two businesses and caring for their older child.
Life felt overwhelming, and the future felt uncertain, until a simple conversation pointed them to Parc’s Discovery Learning Center. That introduction changed everything.
At Discovery Learning Center, Onyx receives all of his therapies on campus from a team that sees his abilities first. Here, he is not defined by a diagnosis; he is celebrated for his progress. He rides the school bus with joy, mimics new sounds, engages with his classmates, and recently said “Mama” for the very first time. He is curious, connected, and thriving.
His parents credit Parc with giving them something they were desperately searching for: hope, relief, and a community that walks beside them.
