Davani was born 16 weeks early and his weight was measured in ounces. Davani was born a fighter, and with the love of his family, he was eventually able to come home. Davani has Cerebral Palsy as well as other health issues. When his mother, Trenee, began having her own health issues, it was suggested by a hospital social worker that Trenee seek help for Davani. She never considered having her son live away from her, but agreed to look at The Cottages at Parc Center Disabilities. From the moment Trenee walked in, she knew she had found Davani’s new home. Davani officially moved into The Cottages in 2018 at the age of 13 and instantly became part of the Parc family, and so did his mother Trenee. When Davani celebrated his 14th birthday at Parc a few months after moving in, over 50 members of both his own family and his new Parc family came to his party. Davani attends Nina Harris Exceptional Student Education Center, where he is thriving. In December of 2021, he was named Student of the Month for “demonstrating kindness on a daily basis with both adults and his peers by smiling warmly when greeted.” Parc’s faculty and Devani’s fellow Cottage residents couldn’t agree more.
