Why Raise the Roof?

The Raise the Roof! Capital Campaign is an opportunity to shape the future for children with developmental disabilities in our community. At Parc Center for Disabilities, we’ve spent over 70 years creating an environment where individuals can thrive, and now we’re taking the next bold step forward. With the construction of a state-of-the-art 14,000-square-foot Children’s Services Center, we will dramatically expand our ability to provide transformative early intervention, education, and therapeutic services. This innovative center will feature larger classrooms, adaptive playgrounds, and enhanced safety measures to support every child’s unique journey. By raising the roof, we’re building brighter futures, and serving as a beacon of hope, empowering children to overcome barriers and reach their fullest potential.

“Enthusiasm is excitement with inspiration, motivation, and a pinch of creativity.” –Bo Bennett

These enhancements ensure that every child receives the focused, personalized care they need to thrive. With state-of-the-art resources, we’re setting the stage for improved outcomes and brighter futures.

Adaptive Playgrounds for Inclusive Fun

Learning Through Play, Growing Together

The new Children’s Services Center at Parc Center for Disabilities will feature three adaptive playgrounds, allowing children of all abilities to learn, play, and build friendships together. These inclusive spaces will include sensory-friendly surfaces, ramps, and adaptive equipment that encourage exploration, creativity, and connection. Additional secure access points, mobility lifts, and behavioral safeguards will empower staff to provide individualized care in a safe, nurturing environment. With your support children will have the freedom to grow, play, and thrive.

“We’re behind this project because there is nothing more important than helping those with developmental disabilities.” – Thomas A. James Chairman Emeritus Raymond James Financial

Expanded Programming Beyond the School Day

Supporting Families Every Step of the Way

The new facility will offer additional opportunities for weekend and summer camp programming, helping families balance their responsibilities while giving children a chance to grow, socialize, and learn year-round. These programs will also reduce waitlists, ensuring more children have access to the life-changing services they need.
