Early Intervention Preschool
The Tom and Mary James Children’s Services Center is a fully licensed Early Intervention preschool dedicated to creating inclusive, nurturing learning environments that honor each child’s unique strengths and needs. Our highly trained early intervention teachers use the latest science-based best practices and trauma-informed care to support meaningful growth. Through intentional instruction and compassionate relationships, we foster confidence, joy, and progress, helping every child reach their milestones and thrive.

Voluntary Prekindergarten at Discovery Learning Center or VPK at Discovery Learning Center
At Discovery Learning Center, we are proud to offer Florida’s free Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program (VPK) to eligible families. Our nurturing classrooms and low teacher-to-student ratios create an inclusive learning environment that supports both children with disabilities and typically developing children. Through individualized support and intentional instruction, we ensure every child is engaged, supported, and prepared for continued success.
On-Site Therapy
At Discovery Learning Center, therapy is a seamless part of your child’s learning experience. We proudly offer assessments in occupational therapy (OT), physical therapy (PT), and speech-language therapy as part of our comprehensive program for all enrolled students to determine their strengths and areas where additional support may be beneficial.
Financial Support
We are proud to offer scholarships for children with disabilities through funding to ensure that every family raising a child with a disability can access our services. We also accept funding from the Early Learning Coalition (ELC), through their School Readiness and VPK funding.

Food Program
At Discovery Learning Center, we provide meal support through the Child Care Food Program, ensuring your child enjoys a healthy and nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snack while they’re with us. This allows you to focus on their growth and development, without the added stress of meal planning.
