Volunteer Your Time and Talent
PARC volunteers are teenagers, college students, business professionals, retirees and senior citizens. Volunteers can start at age 16. Volunteer roles include helping with special events, during programs on campus, clerical and administrative duties, field trips and outings. Some volunteers have special talents such cooking, arts and crafts, or computer literacy. All are welcome to volunteer!
How to Become a PARC Volunteer
PARC utilizes volunteers in a variety of ways and in several areas including the following:
Discovery Learning Center (Preschool) - Classroom Aide, Administrative, or Receptionist.
Adult Day Programs - Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) - Classroom Support, Instructor, or Community Recruiter.
Music Therapy Program - Music Instructor (adults and/or children).
Art Therapy Program - Art Instructor (adults and/or children).
Horticulture Program - Gardening in several areas of PARC.
Administrative - Receptionist (all areas).
Special Events – Black Tie Gala, Golf Tournament, Tampa Bay Blues Festival, Art in the PARC, 97X BBQ, and many more.
Internships – Nursing, Social Work, Business, Accounting, etc. PARC considers all Internship Opportunities.
In-kind Drives – Hold an in-kind drive for frequently used items. (This is a great project for a family or organization).
Miscellaneous – Other opportunities are available (please call for information).
Background Screenings (Level II and Local)
No special skills are required! Just the desire to share a few hours (more or less) of your time to make a difference. This can be on a weekly, monthly, or on an “as-needed” basis.
You must be 16 years old to work in the Discovery Learning Center and 15 years old in other areas of PARC.
