PARC has several auxiliary organizations to support our mission. If your organization would like to support PARC, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
LARC / Parents, Guardians & Friends of PARC
LARC is a non-profit organization founded in 1964 by a group of concerned women who saw a need to assist in providing a better future for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a PARC sponsored program. LARC members raise funds to provide in-demand items including special equipment and vehicles, new flooring, books and sensory toys, high chairs, rugs, new soft play surfaces for toddlers, bedding, linens, outdoor gardens, and bathroom renovations. They also provide funding for recreational activities for our clients to enjoy.
Annually, members hold a Phantom Ball and other events to raise funds and sponsor an adult holiday party. To find out more about the LARCs, please call 727-345-9111.
Parents, Guardians & Friends of PARC was started in July 2000 by a group of 16 parents and guardians of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who reside and/or attend programs at PARC. Their mission is to serve as an avenue for parents, guardians and friends to stay informed and involved in the daily lives of their loved ones who are served by PARC. This group meets quarterly, with meetings designed to provide a social setting which allows members to network with each other, to feature informative speakers of relevant topics and to foster open communication with PARC staff and administration. Please email email@example.com if you would to know about the next scheduled meeting.
