Dear Friends of PARC,
The health and safety of the individuals we serve in addition to our staff and volunteers are always our top priority. We continue to monitor the quickly evolving news related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and are making the necessary adjustments to our work and operations.
We are closely following the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) guidelines and recommendations on the steps we can take to help prevent the spread of the virus. PARC’s facilities, restrooms, and offices are cleaned and sanitized daily. In addition, frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, tables, benches, chairs, and other commonly used items are cleaned multiple times per day.
All individuals at PARC are encouraged to wash their hands with antibacterial soap multiple times per day, and we have displayed signs illustrating proper disease prevention practices. We encourage everyone who visits our campus to allow as much personal space to others as possible. We have shared specific instructions with our employees on the importance of washing their hands and staying home if they feel sick.
All volunteer programming has been postponed until further notice, in addition to all outings and large group activities. PARC’s fundraising events will be monitored on a case-by-case basis as will individual volunteers who assist in PARC’s Programs. Our Adult Programs in addition to our Children’s Services remain open. We are monitoring our trusted source Florida ARF regarding any business decisions related to the effects of the Coronavirus.
