Meet the Artist.
A collection of artwork and stories created by the Artist at PARC’s Fine Arts Studio & Gallery.

The Studio is an art program that has been established to give people with disabilities the opportunity to explore their inner spirit and creativity and to express themselves through art - no matter what the medium. It promotes lifelong educational skills and helps people with disabilities contribute to the cultural and economic heart of their community.
 

The goal of The Studio is to create a physically and socially accessible art program for people with disabilities.  The Studio is designed to involve people with disabilities in non-competitive programs that celebrate expression through the arts.

The objectives are simple… 

• To provide people with disabilities a place to learn about art in different mediums and to identify and develop their skills in the art form of their choice.

• To promote inclusion into any art activities in the community as desired by the participant.

• To broaden the horizons for community members to learn about the need for education of the arts and the potential for artistic creativity for people of all ages with disabilities.

• To establish a collaborative effort to facilitate the mission of The Studio in the community.

 Unique Environment...

PARC has created a unique environment that maintains a studio look while individually meeting the needs of people with disabilities.

We work with public and private art organizations throughout the community to provide access to the arts. In addition, we partner with art teachers and art professionals to promote positive experiences to the arts.

Creative expression at PARC is not limited by physical or developmental challenges. We have found that no matter what the disability, there is no limit to the creative expression of any person.

The Studio currently offers art programs that provide the opportunity to explore self-confidence and personal development, while promoting independence.  The Studio offers acrylic painting, water colors, sculpture, wire art, ceramics, clay art, rubber stamping, paper mache, drawing, music therapy and art appreciation.
