Committee on Children, Families, and Elder Affairs
The Senate Committee on Children, Families, and Elder Affairs oversees human service programs and matters that directly affect children, families, persons with developmental disabilities, and the elderly statewide. The committee has primary jurisdiction over issues relating to the Agency for Persons with Disabilities.

Senate Budget Subcommittee on Health and Human Services Appropriations
Represents the Senate in budgeting and overseeing the funding and other financial matters of the following state entities: Agency for Health Care Administration; Agency for Persons With Disabilities; Department of Children and Family Services; Department of Health; Department of Elderly Affairs; and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
