More than ever, Americans are connecting to their communities through volunteer service. PARC is no exception.
Volunteers are a key to PARC’s success, donating over 11,000 hours annually. Approximately 500 volunteers from the community help PARC in day-to-day operations, group projects and with special event activities. Their donation of time represents a gift of $20.85 per hour based on a national estimate of value, equaling an annual gift of time to PARC valued at $230,460.26.

PARC Volunteers are special!
PARC volunteers are teenagers, college students, business professionals, retiree's, and senior citizens. They range in age from 16 - 86. Some volunteer their time for special events, clerical and administrative duties, field trips and outings. Some have special talents such as cooking, arts and crafts, or computer literacy.
Do I have to commit to a certain number of hours?
No. We work around your schedule. Volunteers are not required to contribute a specific number of hours per week. Some volunteers have set schedule and some enjoy an “on call” or as needed basis.
Do I have to have any special talents?
No, absolutely not! We are looking for people who are friendly and outgoing, enthusiastic and motivated. If you want to help others and you want to make a difference, then we have volunteer opportunities that may work for you.
What will I do when I volunteer?
There are so many areas at PARC in which to volunteer. If you have a specific interest working with senior citizens or with preschoolers, or perhaps you prefer providing administrative assistance, we can offer you a volunteer position that’s right for you.
